Forced to make the most difficult decision of his life, Abraham put his faith into action and began preparations for taking the life of his only son. But just as Abraham was about to sacrifice Isaac, the angel of the Lord called out to him and said,

"Abraham!Abraham! Do not lay a head on the boy. Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me, your only son." – Genesis 22:11-12, NIV)
